Celebrating my birthday & more river photos

Good Morning everyone, Sorry I haven't been around for a few days. My computer died!!! Yes, again for those of you who know me well!! So I am back on my DD's laptop....thank the lord that she has a laptop! I have been putting off buying a new tower but now I really have to do it!!!

To my dear friends Angie and Tanyah who are going through lots of pain at the moment...my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I hope everything went ok and I look forward to talking to you both again very soon. Hugs from me to you Luv Shaz xoxo

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with family and friends....I had a great day at work and then I came home to get ready for my BBQ. Well I had just got out of the shower...still dripping when the phone started to ring! It was my best friend Wendy ringing me for my birthday, we hadn't talked in ages! So we talked and talked and talked some more and then I realised that we had been on the phone for almost 2 hrs....I said to her I probably should go get dressed and get ready!
I had guests arriving in less than 1/2 hr. It was so great talking to her.
Luv you LOU! She turns the big 40 on Valentines Day. Such a beautiful surprise...I got spoilt from my friends too! Lots of lovely gifts, scrapbooking supplies, coffee mugs,chocolates, friend magnet and some smellies for the skin. I go heaps of Cakes, cakes and more cakes this week. The first cake I got for my birthday was from the girls at scrapbooking.
Then yesterday at work Andrea brought in mini cakes & cappuccino for morning tea, and another cake was delivered as my birthday present from Alicia & Keeley. Alicia had lovingly decorated it with fresh cream and lil butterflies!
Here are the latest photos from the river this morning, what a difference 4 days make! All the rain we are getting is due to the monsoon trough moving south, I really feel sorry for all the people way up north of us....They have already been isolated for almost 6 weeks and since then they have had way more rain too, so it will probably be another 5-6 weeks of isolation. All the roads are cut to the North of Townsville due to this weather system. Some towns up north have had 1.2 metres of rain since Dec! And some other townships have had up to 350mm of rain overnight. They will all have webbed feet like ducks soon!
Just on the radio it said 62% of QLD is under flood conditions. I would love to send some down south so that it could take away the heat waves and the bush fires that some D...heads are deliberately lighting!

We are about to get deluged with heavy rains over the next 4 days, so the river will probably be back up and possibly over as their is still alot of water in the actual river....will keep you posted!
