Mum's 60th Birthday recap....She was so surprised! Lots of photos

Hello one and all....Thanks for the birthday wishes for Mum girls!!! I will pass them onto her now that she has facebook!!! I signed her up today...thought it was about time she joins in the fun!!!

Well what a busy 5 days I have had!!! Left here about lunch time on Thurs...drove to Dad's at Gogango which is a good 6 hr drive!!! He was a lil surprised too because he had forgotten that I was coming down to surprise Mum!!! Went to bed quite early, so that I could get up early and head into Mum's at Rocky!!! I arrived just after 7am... I went to the screen door and said
"Any good looking 60yr olds here today" and Mum said "Ahh" and came down her hallway with soap still on her hands from the washing up.
Here is a photo of the surprised look on her face through the screen
then she opened it and I gave her a cuddle and her flowers and said ""Surprise""
she said to me I didn't expect this!!!
Jeff also wished her a Happy Birthday and I think that there were almost tears in her eyes. Dad was next to arrive to wish Mum a Happy Birthday. Then I went shopping with Dad, Mum & Jeff! After coming home from shopping Mum got another visitor...it was her beloved Brother George(Uncle Georgie doesn't like photos, so this is why he isn't in the photo and his wife, Sandie had her 60th Bday party the weekend before Mum's, so here is a photo of the two of them.
Both 60 and both still good looking chic's!
Then we went to lunch at the Brunswick...$8 counter lunches....remember Retreat girls. The meals are massive!!! We couldn't eat all our food, had to take home a doggy bag! LOL!

Mum and I went to look for a 12x12 frame for her present...
We didn't find the right size so now I will have to do a lil something extra down the side as the frame is 12x16! So I brought the page home to finish it off. After shopping Mum stayed home and I went to the scrapbooking shops looking for the frame that I wanted but neither of the shops I went to had them, then I went and got a hair cut it was very much needed!!!

I got home about 5.30 had to get ready to go out to tea.
Mum and Barry were ready to go pick up Ruth, so I had to hurry up! We were meeting at the Thai Restaurant as Mum's youngest sister Dianne had organised a surprise dinner, guests and flowers for her over there. I think that there was 13 of us...when Mum walked into the Restaurant there was the hugest bunch of flowers that I had ever seen and a small bunch of flowers on the table. She was totally floored...wish I had of captured that moment.
We had the most wonderful meals and then it was off to Di's for Coffee and Cake....
OMG you should have seen the size of this Decadent Choc Cake with Choc Icing and Choc Cream...It was Chocolate on top of Chocolate.....And can I tell you it was so yummy!!! Then it was time for bed!!! Think it was about 11pm!

The the next morning I had to be back at the hairdressers by 8 am to get my colours done...Mum also came down and got a trim...so it was nice to be pampered! Then back to Mum's.... Mum and I took photos of her flowers before they started to wilt....It was so hot in Rocky on Sat!!! Here is Mum getting the perfect pic of her flowers. LOL....It was so funny I just had to take a photo of it
We had lunch with Mum's Barry before he headed back to Yeppoon. Mum & I just sat there chatting while we waiting for Kirrily & Marcus to come down from Collinsville and my Brother and his wife Lee-Ann to arrive from Gladstone with his girls so that we could take a heap of photos for Mum's LO!!!Well we took heaps and heaps and my Bro was getting p...ed off then Mum and I went and printed them at Office works and then I put them all on the LO but didn't like it after I wrote the journalling on the page. So today I took all but one photo off and added different ones from the past 2 days. It looks so much better! Then it was almost time to get organised for tea at the Brothers League club....and a couple more surprises for Mum!!! Her younger Sister Leonie and her hubby came up from Gladstone Her youngest brother Trevor and his wife Sissy and their Son Eddie and wife Anita with gorgeous granddaugher Madeline came in from Westwood to surprise Mum And here is their Daugher Amanda in this photo with Jeff and IMum's eldest Brother Lawerence was coming but only his wife Lyn came here she is with Mum and Aunty Leonie... Also her Nephew Steven came with his new wife Trish and her son Jack to surprise Mum as well! She didn't want a party but you may as well say she had 2 parties!!!
Most of her family was here except for the ones who didn't jump into this photo
My Bro John and his wife Lee-Ann with Shae-Lee on his lap and Amelia on Lee's lap had to drive back to Gladstone after dinnerJeff and IMarcus and Kirrily and my niece Shae-LeeYesterday I drove home...I was so tired!!! Didn't think I was going to make it for a while....Thank God Kirrily was in Marcus's car resting while he drove his car back to Collinsville....Kirrily got in and drove my car for a while...Enough to allow me to rest a bit before having to drive again!

Today I have rested all day....actually I haven't done anything today!! I am still sitting here in my jim jams!!! Just felt so flat after such a big weekend! Better go shower and hit the shops to find something for dinner. Bye for now, hope you all had a good weekend. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving me your heartfelt comments. They put a smile on my face and lift my spirits. I really appreciate them, Luv Shaz xoxo
