Good Morning to you all, seems more often than not that I am apologising that I have been absent from here.....Life just seems to get in the way of my blogging lately!!!! Especially since I have started full time employment! I love my new job, BUT unfortunately my scrapbooking is a bit hit and miss these days!
Anyway getting back to the title of this blog post.....21 yrs ago today, I was in labour with my first born child.....it was a very long and painful labour with many complications! I didn't actually have my son until 5.58am tomorrow morning. Jeffrey Aidan Dalton was born with a severe cleft lip and no palate.
Welcome to Motherhood, being a first time Mum is daunting enough let alone throwing in medical complications Fatherhood is just as daunting....getting used to feeding with different bottles and teatsLife throws you many twists and turns such as operations at 3months of age when they did an operation to repair Jeff's Cleft Lip,This is him only a couple of weeks after the operation....He just always seemed to bounce back from the many op's he has had and is still having over the years. This is the pic that I used for his 21st announcement and also on his cake!!!
But I must say that we have come out the other side, much stronger human beings and we are celebrating his 21st Birthday tonight here at home with a Birthday Bash for him. Boys are so lapsy daisy about details & arrangements...
Jeff has been of no real help when it comes to organising his party..."Ohhh it will be ok Mum, just do whatever! Ohhh I don't know who I want to come....Don't worry about that!"
Anyways I have spent the last 2 weeks organising the party it is not going to be a very big deal as far as some 21st goes....But at least I have organised something for him. Only a couple of relies are coming :( Sad about that, we just live too far away for them to come! Hopefully I will be back tomorrow to show you some photos of my boys 21st party!!! Enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting my blog and leaving me your heartfelt comments. They put a smile on my face and lift my spirits. I really appreciate them, Luv Shaz xoxo
I loved the story you just told and am thinking of you all. Shaz you and your hubby looked so young!! And wasn't Jeff a cute little boy?
